Jürgen Buchenau is the new chair of the Department of History.

Students in the public history program have won the National  Council on  Public History's 2009 Student Project Award for "History at Light Speed:  Discovering Charlotte's Northeast Corridtor," which was developed for the Charlotte Area Transit System (CATS) in the Spring of 2008.  Read the story .
